The truth is, I often feel like something that popped into this world from some other place where everything is pure spirit. Most of the things I hate or fear are the things that remind me I'm in a physical body or that life is kinda uh- messy. Pain, animals, touching , germs, bodily fluids, extreme temperatures… getting old and dying.
No wonder I liked the idea of Gnosticism so much. I'm thinking something feels wrong and someone's telling me it feels wrong because it is. Doesn't mean it's true, but it explains why the idea still attracts me. |
