This is without a doubt one of my favorite Narnia books. Partly because of how much I like the sea, but the descriptions of everything are so detailed and amazing, and it’s Ed and Lucy on their own (who were always my two favorite Pevensies). The BBC movie is better handled than the previous two, as well.

We have to wait almost two years for the Disney version. Grrr.

Once there was a boy named Eustace Clarence Scrubb and he almost deserved it )

LWW

I am rereading the Narnia canon in preparation at an attempt at writing fic.

Well, I first read this when I was probaby eight, saw the original movie (and the cartoon) and had it read to me before that. But LibraryThing didn't exist back then, so I'm doing this now and posting it here because it is so long it'd be rude to post the whole thing there. This will be linked.

And don't worry, I am working on my essay, this review has been written in dribs and drabs over a couple of weeks and posting it will get it out of the way. I have a few others, Narnia and non Narnia, to get through as well.

Goodness gracious me! Exclaimed the Faun )
